Bespoke Soft Furnishings.
Beautiful fabrics.
Expert craftsmanship.
Thoughtful details that make a home.
The finishing details can make all the difference to an interior. Beautifully made curtains, carefully chosen fabrics, considered trimmings and the perfect finishing touches bring warmth, character and a sense of completeness to a room.
At Little Browns, we believe soft furnishings deserve the same care and creativity as every other part of an interior scheme. From dressing a single window to bringing together the finishing details of an entire room, our aim is to create something individual, beautifully considered and perfectly suited to your home.
A shared history,
a renewed collaboration.
I’m Jill, founder of Little Browns Interiors, and I’m delighted to be working again with Sue, a talented soft furnishings specialist with whom I shared many years of working together during my time with Tigerlily Interiors.
Sue truly is a master of her craft. Her knowledge, experience and meticulous attention to detail extend far beyond the fabric itself. From the way a fabric falls and hangs to the proportions, construction and finishing details, she considers every aspect of a piece, bringing together the technical expertise and craftsmanship that make the difference between something simply made and something truly beautiful.
Having worked together before, we share an understanding of what makes a finished interior feel right. Now, we’re bringing our skills together again: Sue’s specialist expertise in soft furnishings, measuring and making, alongside my wider interior design experience and eye for colour, pattern and the way everything works together within a space.
It’s a collaboration built on trust, shared experience and a genuine appreciation for the details. We’re genuinely excited to be working together again, bringing our complementary skills to Little Browns. We look forward to meeting new clients, exploring their ideas and creating beautiful, individual spaces together.
For us, it’s about more than choosing fabrics or dressing a window; it’s about helping people create rooms they love to live in.
From the fabric to the finishing touches.
Beautiful soft furnishings involve much more than choosing a fabric. It’s about understanding the window, the proportions of the room, the practical requirements and how every detail will work together.
We can guide you through the process, from selecting the right fabrics and arranging measuring and making to coordinating the finishing touches that complete the look.
Our soft furnishings service can include:
From simple, understated window dressings to more elaborate, characterful designs, we’ll help you find the right style, fabric and finish for your home.
Curtains & Blinds
Beautiful finishing layers that introduce colour, pattern and texture, or bring the elements of a scheme together.
Cushions
Considered details that frame a window, enhance its proportions and give a room a more complete finish.
Pelmets & decorative window treatments
Practical and decorative choices selected to complement your fabrics, window dressings and wider interior scheme.
Curtain poles & finials
From braids and fringes to the smaller decorative touches that give a design its individuality.
Trimmings & finishing details
Whether you already have a clear vision or need help exploring the possibilities, we’ll take the time to understand your space, your preferences and how you want your home to feel.
Fabrics, wallpapers and paints — bringing it all together.
Soft furnishings can be the starting point for a beautiful interior scheme, connecting colours, patterns and textures throughout a space. But it’s often the relationship between the fabric, wallpaper and paint that brings everything together.
Alongside our soft furnishings service, I offer guidance on selecting wallpapers and paint colours, helping you create a cohesive scheme that reflects your taste and the character of your home.
I’m particularly drawn to collections with individuality, depth and character, from the distinctive paint colours of Little Greene to the beautiful patterns and fabrics of Sanderson’s, harlequin, scion, designers guild, graham and brown and beyond.
Whether it’s a wallpaper that inspires a palette, a fabric that introduces an unexpected colour or a combination of pattern and texture that sets the direction for an entire room, I love exploring the possibilities.
This is where my wider interior design experience complements Sue’s specialist craftsmanship. Together, we can consider both the individual details and the bigger picture, helping every element work harmoniously without losing the personality that makes a home your own.
The result is a more considered approach to decorating, where colours, patterns, fabrics and finishes are chosen to work together rather than in isolation.
Let’s create something personal.
Every home and every project is different. You might be looking for the perfect curtains for a sitting room, blinds and cushions to refresh a bedroom, or a coordinated scheme that brings fabrics, wallpaper and paint together.
Whatever the scale of your project, we believe the best results come from taking the time to get the details right. By combining our experience, knowledge and complementary skills, we can help you make confident choices and create interiors that feel individual, welcoming and beautifully finished.
